A Research Hub of Excellence
Established in 1958, the former Catholic University of Dalat (Viện Đại học Đà Lạt) was the first institution of higher education in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Following Decision No. 426/TTg, dated 27 October 1976, by the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Catholic University of Dalat was reorganized as Dalat University (Trường Đại học Đà Lạt), a nonprofit public multidisciplinary university of contemporary Vietnam. Dalat University (DLU) offers 56 academic programs, including 41 undergraduate, 9 master’s, and 6 doctoral programs, and is today the oldest and largest institution of higher education in the Central Highlands.
